A Modern Self Build
My clients began their self build journey back in 2015 when they hired architects to create their vision. Being engineers themselves they have had a firm grasp on the project from the start knowing exactly what they wanted and wanting it exactly, their passion has been catching!
I started by designing a contemporary take on a traditional fireplace with a cantilevered mantle. The boxs are lined with slate to hold firewood. The stone around the fire was reclaimed from an old stone outhouse that originally stood in the grounds.
Most of my time was spent designing a sleek, modern, clean lined kitchen. We chose a handless door with metal inserts that create the handle.
Because the building had been designed by the architect to capture the light best, we had to have the worktop specially made to fit the angles of the building.
This is a Second Nature kitchen, they are an award winning kitchen supply company and are known as one of the leading independent kitchen brands in the UK. These doors are from the Porter range, in white.
