When you work with me, Catherine Muir, at Catherine Muir Interior Design, you will share personal information about yourself, in fact I won’t be able to create a wonderful scheme for you without it! However, I am committed to protecting and respecting that information and your privacy. This policy explains the type of information I may receive from you and explains what I will do with it, please read it carefully. Information I May Collect from You
You may give me information about you by filling in forms on my website www.catherinemuirinteriordesign.co.uk or by corresponding with me by phone, e-mail, in person or otherwise.

If you are a residential client the information you give me may include your name, address, e-mail address and phone number, personal description, photographs of your property, other property information, spouse/partner details, children’s names and ages, and other personal information such as place of work and information specific to the running/layout of your home that affects the interior design.

If you are a commercial client the information you give me may include your name, business address, e-mail address and phone number, personal description, photographs of property, other property information, colleague’s details such as name and email address, other personal information, information regarding the running/layout of your business that affects the interior design.

What I Will Do with the Information
The information that you provide to me will primarily be used to complete any contracts entered into between you and I, providing you with the service that you have requested from me. Once the contract is complete I may occasionally contact you to see how the project is going and inform you about other services or special offers that I provide that may be of interest to you.

I may also use the information internally to understand and improve the effectiveness of my services.

When someone visits www.catherinemuirinteriordesign.co.uk I use a third-party service, Google Analytics, to collect standard internet log information and details of visitor behaviour patterns. I do this to find out things such as the number of visitors to the various parts of the site. This information is only processed in a way which does not identify anyone. I do not make, and do not allow Google to make, any attempt to find out the identities of those visiting my website.

If you subscribe to my blog I will collect your email address. I will only use that information to provide you with my blog or to occasionally contact you to inform you about other services or special offers that I provide that may be of interest to you.

When I May have to Share Your Information
I may share your information with suppliers and sub-contractors to complete any contract I enter into with you. If this is required I will inform you beforehand and agree it with you. Those businesses will have their own privacy policies and I do not accept any responsibility or liability for these policies. Please check these policies before you agree for me to share your details with them.

I won’t share any of your information in any other way unless I was under a duty to disclose or share your personal data in order to comply with any legal obligation. I will keep the financial records for at least 6 years from the end of the last company financial year they relate to in accordance with the government. No personal data will be kept after that time.

Your Rights

If you do not wish me to contact you after the contract is complete then you can let me know that at any time, however we will also discuss it at the beginning of our contract.
